Maybelline New York Colossal Kajal Review

Hello ladies,

Today, I will be reviewing the Maybelline New York Colossal Kajal. This is my very first review and I am super thrilled to join MABH team and I also thank Lancy for giving me this opportunity.

Why I bought Maybelline New York Colossal kajal?:

I love eye makeup stuffs but hardly buy kajal. I hesitate to buy kajal because of its smudging feature. I always go with eyeliner which is perfect and no need to check for smudgy eyes every one hour. But when I saw the ad which says that 6 hour black and smudge resistant hence I was tempted to buy it.

Price and Quantity:

Rs 150 for 0.35g

But I have come across few websites selling this product for Rs 175 (higher than MRP) so check out the websites carefully before you buy it.

Shelf life:

Use before 24 months from package.

My Experience:

Packaging: This kajal comes in a yellow twist up pencil which is easy to use and travel friendly. You do not need to sharpen your kajal every time as it has a pointed tip!

Color, Texture & Pigmentation: This is a dark black kajal and the texture is smooth! There is no hardness while lining eyes with this kajal.

How it works?: Maybelline products are of reasonable price and good in quality too. This yellow fellow also keeps up the brand reputation. It is very simple yellow package. It glides on my eyes effortlessly. Pigmentation is quite remarkable. This kajal stays on my (oily) upper lids for more than 5 hours. That’s an achievement! It didn’t irritate my eyes. Even after a face wash it survived on my eyes. I just love this Kajal .I am going to finish it soon and buy more.

PROS:

Pointed tip (Yippee!!…no need to sharpen…no messy messy!)
Good pigmentation
It stays on eyelids for 5 hours
No irritation
Water proof product
Reasonable price
Ingredients include olive oil, Vitamin E and C

CONS:

It smudges on waterline after sometimes.
Less quantity

Yes, definitely. It is a fantastic kajal. Buy it and enjoy beautiful eyes!

Of course, I will. It is one of the best kajals available in India.

Maybelline Shimmer Powder in Rosy Twinkle Review, Swatch & FOTD

The world of blogs has been a great experience for me, not just reading and writing, but also grabbing some of the products. Not that I was longing for this product, but I just happened to land on this shimmery product; pretty good and decent product from Maybelline.

Price & Quantity: $3.89 for 10 g

Shade: Rosy Twinkle

Key Ingredients: (I am attaching the image)

Usage Instructions: Sweep powder over cheekbones with Expert Tools Face Brush.

My Experience with Maybelline Shimmer Powder in Rosy Twinkle:

Maybelline Rosy Twinkle Shimmer Powder falls into the make up category of blush.

Packaging: This product comes in a flat square cardboard box which has a magnetic flap cover. The top cover is completely transparent which allows seeing the shimmery blush.

Colour &Texture: The color of the Maybelline Shimmer Powder is named Rosy Twinkle. It definitely has that twinkle in it which makes the cheeks glow. But I do not find it in a rosy blushing shade. It is more of peach on my cheeks.
The texture of this product is dry and powdery. A little touch of the brush on the product brings out lots of powder dust, both on the brush tip and out of the pan too.

How it works: The shimmer powder blush gives a very nice peachy glittery shine to my cheeks. The color of this blush is very dim. A little of the product will give the much wanted shimmers on the cheeks. Some more swipes will give the peach effect.
Since it is too powdery, it is not meant for dry skin people like me. But it has not troubled my skin much. It has not even reacted badly on my skin.
Personally I would like it to be less powdery. The shimmers in this product is just right, neither too bling shiny sparkles, nor too pale for a blush. Though I have dry skin, I still opt for powdered, lightly shimmered blush. That’s my choice.

FOTD:

PROS:

Good amount of 10g product provided.
Right amount of shimmers in the product.
A little is enough for achieving the shimmery look on the cheeks.
A peach shade with shimmers.
Since the blush is peach shimmers, it would go well with most skin tones.

CONS:

Too powdery, more than wanted.
A light swipe of the brush on the pan brings out lot of product.
Product is not suitable for dry skin

Do I Recommend Maybelline Shimmer Powder in Rosy Twinkle?:
Not really a high recommendation. If you want a moderately shimmered blush product, then u may go for this product. This actually does not show much of the color in the initial swipes.

Would I Repurchase
No. I will hunt for some other peach blush.

Maybelline Lip Smooth Color & Care Refreshing Tinted Lip Balm in Cranberry Jam

Claims:

Refreshing Tinted Lip Balm
Revitalizes dry / dull lips
Gives moisturizing shine
Softens and smoothens lips
SPF – 16
Dermatologically tested
Non sticky texture

Price & Quantity: Rs.110 for 4.5g (I bought when it was priced at Rs.99)

Shade: Cranberry Jam

Key Ingredients: Jojoba oil, Safflower seed oil, also contains Vitamin E

Usage Instructions: Apply daily on lips.

My Experience:

Packaging: A circular tube with circular patterns all over the tube is the packaging of Maybelline Lip Smooth Color & Care lip balm. The tube is a twist up one with a plastic pressing cap. The cap shuts with a click.

Colour, Texture & Fragrance: Cranberry Jam is a bright pink shade. However, it is not very bright on the lips. The consistency of the lip balm is very thin and it very light on the lips too. Though it is a lip balm, it does not have that thick waxy texture. Maybelline Lip Smooth Lip Balm forms a thin coat like an oil film. The fragrance is exactly similar to the fruity scent. The smell is very light which stays for sometime and then vanishes off.

Swatch:

How it works: Maybelline Lip Smooth Color & Care is a moderate lip balm. Those who do not need heavy lip treatment can easily use this product. It moisturizes the lips good enough. It makes a perfect daily use product. The lips do not need any lipstick or lip gloss when this product is used. Maybelline Lip Smooth serves both the purpose, gives the color to the lips and also glossy finish.

It stays on for at least 3 hours with some fading. When it fades, it does not leave the lips dry or flaky.

The re applying of this product is also easy. A little twist up from he tube and a gentle swipe on the lips will do the job. There is no fear of color going too dark on the lips. The product is very travel friendly too. No worrying about the cap getting opened or product spilling out or even melting in its tube.

Overall, I adore this product just the way it is.
