Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick Crazy for Coffee Review

Hey beautiful girls,

This is my second review and I still remain excited.. Thank you sweeties for the lovely comments.. Today I will be reviewing a lipstick from my favorite brand Maybelline. I think Maybelline remains as a heroine in many hearts because it offers good quality products at an affordable price. This is from the color sensational range which we all are quite familiar. Lets move on to the review.

Price:

Rs.350 for 4.2gm

Shelf Life:

3 years

My Experience:

I was desperate to try something from the color sensational range as I was quite fascinated by the cute packaging. Since I am very new to the world of cosmetics I was not sure which color would suit my skin tone. So I browsed through various blogs and made a list of lipsticks which would look flattering on me. I went to Health and Glow and told the SA to swatch everything from the list.

Out of all I absolutely loved Blushing Brunette. I was happy, I paid for my first lipstick and came home. After coming home I eagerly opened my bag to look at my love. There came a shock, where someone called CRAZY FOR COFFEE looked at me and told HI..!!!! Then I realized that the SA had given me a wrong shade. I wanted to hit myself against the wall. Consoling myself as it was fate I swatches the lipstick. It looked like a classic brown with some pink undertones. The color was good on itself, but the worst part is that it made me look as if I finished my Ph.d, yes it made me look older. My aunt who is dusky tried it and it looked so natural on her which means it would suit medium-dark skinned girls. It can be their MLBB shade.

Color, Texture and Flavor: It is a natural brown shade with pink undertones. And what I like about these lipsticks after their packaging is the fragrance. It has a yummy VANILLA smell; Loving it.  It has a smooth texture and glides on lips without any pulling or tugging. It keeps lips moisturized for sometime. It is really  well pigmented. But the worst part is its staying power. It stays only for 2-3 hrs. After which it starts fading leaving a very mild brownish tint. Overall , a nice everyday shade for medium-dusky girls at an affordable price.

PROS:

  • Nice packaging
  • Affordable
  • Well pigmented
  • Easily available
  • Nice shade
  • Yummy vanilla smell
  • Smooth texture , glides smoothly
  • Variety of colors to choose

CONS:

  • Staying power is bad, only 2-3 hrs

Rating: 3.5/5

Do I Recommend?:

Yes , if you don’t mind the staying power. Medium – Dusky girls will love it as it can be their MLBB shade. Give it a try.

Will I Repurchase?:

Not sure because of the staying power.

Maybelline Baby Lips Rose Addict Lip Balm Review

Hello lovely ladies,

Maybelline baby lips have become most wanted lip balm in India since its arrival. It is available in 7 different shades. Today, I am going to review the Baby Lips Lip Balm in ‘Rose Addict’ variant.

Price:

Rs 150 fo 4g

Shade Reviewed:

Rose addict

My Experience:

I was pretty confused on choosing the shade and finally got Maybelline Baby Lips Rose Addict. You can see they advertise as new revolutionary lip balms with lots of good features. So, I wanted to test them.

Packaging: This Maybelline lip balm comes in a pink colored twist up tube which is easy to use and travel friendly. I find no problem with the packaging part.

Color, Texture and Fragrance: This lip balm is almost a translucent one with very mild rosy tint. This tint hardly shows up on lips. However if you have that pale pink lips, it might show up a bit but it settles like just a transparent balm on pigmented/dark lips. The fragrance is frutilicious and yummy!

Swatch:

How it works?: It is a soft and smooth one with SPF 16. It protects your lips from sun. I have a dry lips hence I need lip balm very badly. It hydrates my lips and keeps moisturized for 6 hours without any intake of food. It also withstand for 4 hours after cool drinks and light meal. I love tinted lip balms but this one is translucent. But I never mind. It doesn’t have any taste (sad) 🙁

PROS:

  • Convenient twist up tube package
  • Good Staying power
  • It has SPF 16
  • It heals chapped lips
  • It doesn’t melts like other lip balms
  • Lips are well moisturized
  • Affordable price
  • It gives a glossy and shiny finish to the lips

CONS:

Hmm… I’m thinking and thinking. No, I couldn’t find out any.

Rating: 4.8/5

Do I Recommend?:

Yes! I highly recommend this Maybelline Lip Balm to everyone!

Would I Repurchase?:

I am going to try some other shades from Baby Lips. Berry Crush and Cherry Kiss seems to be more attractive.

By the way I have a question.. What happened to Maybelline Lip Smooth Balm? (tinted balms with shades of strawberry, rose red) I can’t find them anywhere. Have they stopped production??

Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner Sapphire Review, Swatches & EOTD

Hey all Pretty ladies!

Myself Deepti, a medical doc by profession but a shopaholic/fashion freak/beauty geek by passion. I have been following MABH for quite sometime now and I love it. Never thought would ever write for a blog but I had a lot of time to kill these days but most of all, My hubby dearest(who’s is the best-est 🙂 ) really encouraged me to go for it.. So here goes my first hope you enjoy reading it  as much as I enjoyed writing it!

Price & Quantity:

Rs. 410 or $7.29 for 106 Oz/3 grams

Shade:

Sapphire or 958

Also available in:

  1. Blackest black
  2. Charcoal
  3. Brown
  4. Eggplant

Product Availability:

Frankly I bought this product online from amazon in USA along with loads of other products 😛 and My sis in law brought them to India for me ( I love her!! 🙂 ) I checked it online but only shade I could find was Blackest black even amongst the Maybelline’s franchise stores in delhi. All in all you will be able to procure the product easily but a particular shade availability will always be variable.

My Experience:

Packaging: This Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner comes in a very cute little glass tub. Honestly the first time ever I came across gel eyeliner was when my bff was using one of the MAC’s eye pot and since then I always wanted to have a glass tub/pot as they are super cute. The lid of the glass tub is a screw cap and is quite handy, convenient and travel friendly.

Color, Consistency & Texture: This particular shade is Sapphire Blue and a very beautiful blue as you can see in the pictures but this particular shade is not for everyday eyeliner wearers so with me, as I would only wear this shade with either a matching dress or in night parties or other special occasions, but when worn it actually adds that ‘drama’ to your eyes so the name (but I still just loved this pretty blue gem shade).
The liner is completely odorless. The product has a smooth and creamy texture and doesn’t powder after application.

How it Works?: As instructed I applied through the given brush in a completely hassle free manner..The product has a very smooth and creamy texture and glides like a dream. And unlike other liquid/pencil eyeliner it feels like feather on your eyelids and dries up as you apply; No 2 min eye closing and fanning exercise as with liquid eyeliners. No itching or stinging as claimed;  lines the lash line uniformly though more than one stroke is required for full coverage but it gives a very nice “Blue Sheen” to your lashes 🙂
The product is completely water resistant and waterproof as you can see the pictures. It doesn’t smudge at all unless may be rubbed vigorously which I didn’t.

Staying Power: I am super duper Impressed by the staying power of this little product. It was perfectly at its place almost the entire day 10+ hours and didn’t breakout from a single point. Though I had to remove my makeup after that but by the look of the eyeliner I think it could have stayed for a couple of hours more. One word WOW!! for its super staying power. Every girl dreams of an non smudging, super staying eyeliner.. Isn’t it…???

If long lasting is what you want.. It answers your prayers! 🙂

All in all I will say except for a few very negligible flaws, it is a product worth trying and worthy of your vanity case seriously. I personally love all the “No Nonsense” products. Ladies this is a product for you if you are willing to pay for the amazing quality and brand name!

PROS:

  • Gives a beautiful blue gem like sheen .
  • Smooth and feathery texture, glides like a dream
  • Dries as you apply; completely  hassel free
  • Water resistant and waterproof as claimed.
  • No itching or stinging
  • Stays for more than 10+ hours
  • Feels like feather on the lashes.
  • The provided flat tip applicator is very nice.
  • Very handy and travel friendly packaging.
  • Amongst all the bigger brands with a range of gel eyeliners I think maybelline ones are really affordable.

CONS:

  • Multiple strokes may be required sometimes.
  • Not so reasonably priced.

Rating:
4/5

Do I Recommend?:

Yes! Totally. I think the shades of black and sapphire are must haves for every girl who can afford a tiny hole in her pocket once in a while 😉

Would I Repurchase?:

I would love to.. If one gel eye liner in my vanity is must have, I would definitely go for this 🙂
