Lakme Enrich Lip Color Strawberry Splash Review, Swatches and FOTD

Hello everyone!

Today I am going to review a red hot lipstick from Lakme. It is Lakme Enrich Lip Colour in the shade Strawberry Splash. My sister gifted me this lipstick long ago but I started using it recently and that’s why I am reviewing it now! 😀

My Experience:

Packaging: This product comes in typical Lakme packaging, a maroon plastic case. The name of the shade and number is written on the bottom. The packaging of the product makes it is travel friendly and user friendly but still for some reason I don’t like it.

Color: It’s a beautiful red color with a hint of pink. No matter how fair or dark your complexion is this color is going to look great on you.

Swatch:

Texture: This Lakme lipstick has a creamy texture to the extent that you don’t need to use any lip balm with this lipstick.

Pigmentation: This Lakme Enrich Lipstick in Strawberry Splash shade extremely pigmented. I have some pigmentation around my lips and just one swipe of this lipstick is enough to cover any kind of pigmentation.

Smell: The lipstick t smells strong which is quite irritating for my sensitive nose, but thanks to god that the smell does not last long.

Staying power: As this lipstick is extremely moisturizing, it stays almost 3-4 hours on my lips without any lip primer and after that it fades evenly without leaving any strain or tint. The color get transfer easily and tends to bleed; that’s a big con of this lippy 🙁

FOTD:

PROS:

Beautiful color will look good on every skin tone.
Moisturizing.
Staying power is pretty decent.
Affordable.
Easily available.
Great pigmentation.

CONS:

Tends to bleed, and easily transferable.
I don’t like the smell.
The staying power could be better.

Elle 18 Color Pops Lipstick Fresh Orchids Review and Swatches

Today I am going to review the Elle 18 Lipstick in Fresh Orchids shade. This range is available in around 25 different shades. Don’t forget to check them out.

My Take:

Packaging: The packaging style is completely in plastic and the cap is really cute and chick!

Color, Texture and Fragrance: The color is in tone of light maroon with a dash of copper but it does not look very loud. The shade Fresh Orchids is as refreshing as the name! 😉 And in my view, it should go with any skin tone. It is a pretty girly shade nice to wear to office or any casual outing. Texture wise it is non-sticky and mildly glossy. To get the compelete hue on your lips, 2 applications are a must. However,the texture is really light. You will just feel as if you have applied a lip balm.

The fragrance of this lipstick is nice and good. It makes you feel good at the very onset of the day. What better idea to soothe your senses when you have a long tiring day at work ahead of you! The fragrance lasts for a good half an hour, if not more!

How it works: application is easy but at least 2 coats are a must. It is mildly glossy due to the added cocoa butter in the centre but that leaves the lips well nourished. The shine however is very natural and does not look awkward. Bliss for those with dry lips since you get to enjoy both colour and moisture! It stays on for about 2 hours on me. After that,you might need another touch up.

Overall, this lip color provides nice moisturizing effect that makes your lips really supple! 🙂 The rich moisture makes the application very easy and helps the lipstick glide smoothly.

Do I Recommend?:

Yes. This is a must try budget lipstick! If the shade suits you well and good otherwise it is not at all heavy on pocket. The color is very fresh and can even be used as a blush as well. The cocoa butter leave your lips well nourished and soft. The fragrance is appealing. Last but not the least, the reliability of Elle 18!!

What else can we possibly ask for in 100 bucks? 😀 You can make an entire collection of these color pops at a reasonable price! Go try out some other shades for yourself. From my side it is a definite thumbs up!!

Would I Repurchase?:

Yes. I already have purchased another shade of the same range. And will fetch myself some more! 😉

Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick Crazy for Coffee Review

This is my second review and I still remain excited.. Thank you sweeties for the lovely comments.. Today I will be reviewing a lipstick from my favorite brand Maybelline. I think Maybelline remains as a heroine in many hearts because it offers good quality products at an affordable price. This is from the color sensational range which we all are quite familiar. Lets move on to the review.

My Experience:

I was desperate to try something from the color sensational range as I was quite fascinated by the cute packaging. Since I am very new to the world of cosmetics I was not sure which color would suit my skin tone. So I browsed through various blogs and made a list of lipsticks which would look flattering on me. I went to Health and Glow and told the SA to swatch everything from the list.

Out of all I absolutely loved Blushing Brunette. I was happy, I paid for my first lipstick and came home. After coming home I eagerly opened my bag to look at my love. There came a shock, where someone called CRAZY FOR COFFEE looked at me and told HI..!!!! Then I realized that the SA had given me a wrong shade. I wanted to hit myself against the wall. Consoling myself as it was fate I swatches the lipstick. It looked like a classic brown with some pink undertones. The color was good on itself, but the worst part is that it made me look as if I finished my Ph.d, yes it made me look older. My aunt who is dusky tried it and it looked so natural on her which means it would suit medium-dark skinned girls. It can be their MLBB shade.

Color, Texture and Flavor: It is a natural brown shade with pink undertones. And what I like about these lipsticks after their packaging is the fragrance. It has a yummy VANILLA smell; Loving it. It has a smooth texture and glides on lips without any pulling or tugging. It keeps lips moisturized for sometime. It is really well pigmented. But the worst part is its staying power. It stays only for 2-3 hrs. After which it starts fading leaving a very mild brownish tint. Overall , a nice everyday shade for medium-dusky girls at an affordable price.
