Usage Instructions:

Apply liberally to cleansed face and neck every night.

My Experience with Olay Total Effects Anti Aging Night Cream:

To start with, this is my 4th tub and that must convey that I love this product and I’m totally happy with it.

I use this every night after my cleansing and toning routine. On some days I apply Olay White Radiance Serum before using the night cream. I dot it on my face and neck and then massage gently in upward direction. The cream takes some time to get absorbed. It gives a moisturizing effect. I have used this in peak summers as well as in winters but haven’t faced any oiliness or dryness. It is just perfect. I wake up with a smooth soft skin in the morning.

Now coming to its claims, it does fulfill few of the points listed above. It evens out the skin texture, gives a smooth skin and imparts radiance but I cannot comment about the fine line and wrinkles part since I don’t have any of these concerns now. But I haven’t seen any drastic reduction in the pores. I have few open pores near the bridge of my nose and they are still visible. (If anyone has a solution for this pleases comment below. I will be very thankful.)

I have used many other night creams in between but I have always come back to this one since my skin loves this product.

It comes in a dark grey colored tub with an inner lid and a screw type lid outside. The lid is very sturdy so we need not worry about the spillage during travel. The tub is very strong so even if it falls down one need not bother. The only problem is that we have to dip-in our fingers to take the product out. I usually sanitize my hands before using this.

This night cream is white in color and very creamy. It feels slightly heavy so each time only less quantity is required to cover our face and neck. I just love its fragrance. It smells a bit strong initially but after application it softens. I like to take a whiff of it now and then.

PROS of Olay Anti Aging Night Cream:

  • Imparts radiance to the skin
  • Softens the skin
  • Evens out skin tone
  • Moisturizes the skin at night
  • Nice fragrance (personal liking)
  • Less is required every time so the tub will last for more than 3 months

CONS of Olay Anti Aging Night Cream:

  • Tub packing leads to hygiene concerns
  • Doesn’t reduce pore size

Makeup and Beauty Home Rating: 4/5 (reduced 1 point for not diminishing the pore size)

My Recommendation:

I highly recommend this product. You will not be disappointed.

Would I Repurchase?:

Definitely yes.

Don’t forget to read the 5 Must Have Beauty Products Under Rs.100 by Chand 🙂

Garnier BB Cream – Rs.99

This is one of the incredible products that can instantly give a glow to your skin. Smoothen this on your cleansed face and you are ready to go. With so many beneficial ingredients, your skin will love to use it on a daily basis.

Kara Cleansing Wet Wipes – Rs.80

I would call this a life saver or probably a “face saver” lol 🙂 Zip a tissue and wipe your face. Splash some water and dab with a dry tissue.. As simple as that. Sometimes I even remove my eye makeup completely with these wipes and redo my eye makeup for the “freshly applied” look. But be careful, few may have irritation when used on the eyes so do a small trial at home.

Lakme Perfect Radiance Compact – Rs.160

A compact is a must for this summer. Even the driest of the skin tend to turn a little greasy. A compact can do wonders. Apply this on top of the Garneir BB cream for a shine free face. I have had great experience with this compact. Also it doesn’t create a hole in your pocket.

Maybelline Newyork Colossal Kajal – Rs.150

We know that this is the most happening kajal in town. Swipe onto your waterline to make your eyes impressive. You can also apply this below your waterline to create a kohl look.

Elle18 Lipstick – Rs.99

This is a great lipstick for daily wear. Though the wear time is moderate, it provides hydration to the lips. You don’t even require a lip balm underneath. The color selection range is very wide and they are easy for touch ups. If you are blessed with natural pink lips, just carry a lip balm. Either a moisturizing lipstick or a lip balm is very essential in our bag.

Hope the above helped. Apart from these you can carry a blush, facial mist, eyebrow pencil, etc depending on the size of your handbag.

See you all in another article soon. Till then stay fit and stay beautiful 🙂

Nivea Refreshing Soft Cream Review

When I was a kid my mum used to apply Nivea on her face and skin during winters. I still remember the blue colored tin packing and it used to smell soooo good. Now coming back to the product, the present Nivea cream retains all the past qualities, this proves their stability in the market. The lable on the cream says “Refreshingly Soft Cream”. Read on to know more about the cream.

Nivea Soft Cream Review

Color, Consistency & Fragrance: It is white in color; the consistency is like a thick cream. As I said earlier it retains the same strong floral fragrance. I personally like it.

Swatch:

Nivea Soft Cream Review

How it works: Moisturizes skin and avoids dryness to a larger extent. I usually use body lotion everyday to keep my skin hydrated. We planned for a 2-day trip with family and I was not able to carry the full sized body lotion with me since it had a pump dispenser. I decided to buy a handy lotion/cream to carry along and ended up buying this one considering the quantity and the cost. This is a very buttery cream. It takes some time to sink into the skin and keeps the skin hydrated for a very long time. But I didn’t like the oily feeling once applied. It’s a big NO NO for the face if you have a normal skin. Overall it is an averagely rated cream.

PROS:

  • Very moisturizing
  • Available is smaller as well as larger quantities
  • Proven quality
  • Can be used on face too if you have a very very dry skin
  • It is a multipurpose skin cream; you can use it on your knee and foot too

CONS:

  • Takes a long time for the skin to absorb it completely
  • Feels oily
  • Strong fragrance which may not be liked by many
  • Tub packing makes it unhygienic
  • Not suitable for the face if you have a normal/combo/oily skin

Rating: 3/5

Do I Recommend:

I recommend to all those ladies who have a very dry skin

Would I Repurchase?:

No. There are many other options in the market.
