Hi sweeties,

Have you ever had an experience like this? You desperately want to try a product, so you keep searching and searching for that. You long for that one, but you don’t find that anywhere. You ride so many kilometers for that, you order that product in different places with a hope to get it soon.. Finally, you have that one in your hand after paying extra bucks for that. You have poured your heart over that, but it cheats you without any honor.. EXACTLY this one is.

Rs.199 for 50 gm.

My Take on Biotique Bio Coconut Whitening and Brightening Cream:

WHITENING AND BRIGHTENING  are the words I fell for (I know stupid me!). I had so many acne scars on my chin, which looked nasty. With an effort to clear them all, I went ahead with this.

To be frank I don’t even like to write a review for this product. But this is just to share my worst experience. First of all coming to the packaging, this is nothing fancy. Typical boring Biotique packaging. It has a wide mouth and one has to dip their fingers to take out the product. I know many of you girls will hate it.

Seriously telling, it doesn’t do even a single thing that it claims. I really had some great expectations on it. It’s a very thick cream that hardly smells of coconuts. It has some type of minty smell. Though it gets absorbed easily, it leaves an oily cast. Use how many ever tissues to blot, still you will have tons and tons of oil on your face.

Even the driest of all will feel it heavy. Just like you applied GREASE! NO WHITE. NO BRIGHT. The first day I applied it at night, it did not break out. Second day no, third day no. finally after a week this darling showed its work. Yes, I got 10 pimples all over my face.

Oh god, I was crying, shouting, what not? Still I dared to use it the next day. Again I broke out. It made my skin so worse than ever . My dark spots tripled up. That was the day, I chucked it up somewhere inside my drawer. I don’t use it anymore. Girls, I warn you don’t ever try this culprit. I know I sound very arrogant but it did nothing other than making me feel sick and dull with more and more spots. 🙁 🙁 🙁

PROS:

  • Seriously, nothing!

CONS:

  • Inconvenient packaging
  • Does nothing that it claims
  • Makes you look oily and dull
  • Breaks out so badly
  • Strong mint smell
  • Waste of money

Rating: 0/5 ( You deserve it!)

Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Gloss Touch Of Toffee Review

Hey MABHians,

Have you ever had a hunt for your dream nude lip gloss? Your dream gloss would be something like this or something like that. I too had a dream about my gloss. It was like a nude brown (but not very brown) with a mild peach/mauve tint for that freshness, with less shimmers here and there or no shimmers at all, blah blah blah..

My dream was only a dream until I saw this sweetheart at the Maybelline counter. I went there to get “Hooked on Pink”, but it was out of stock. I was desperate to try something from this range. I quite liked the cranberry cocktail one, but it was a red lip gloss. Here, in Chennai if I wear a red gloss or even a red tinted lip balm and go out, people stare me as if I had jumped from an other planet. So I gave up. Suddenly I saw this shade, as usual my eyes was popping out to try the color. I swatched it, Oh my God it was exactly the same gloss which I had in my dreams. Whooooaaaa!! I was jumping up high. I brought my sweetheart home 😀 So here’s the review.

Price and Quantity:

Rs. 260 for 6.8 ml

How to Use this Lip Gloss?:

Use the wand to apply lipgloss starting in the center of your upper lip. Work from the center to outer edges of your lips, following the contour of your mouth. Then glide across the entire bottom lip.

My Take:

I don’t think we all need an introduction for this brand ‘Maybelline’. It is one of the brand that gives good quality products at an affordable price. The packaging is simple and smart. It has a rectangular body with a doe foot applicator. It looks smart and chic as a lip gloss.

Touch of Toffee is a nude brown with less shimmers. I think this shade looks good on everyone. But this will wash out very dark skin tones. Fair dusky girls will love it for sure. The thing is you cant wear this one just like that. It will make you feel dull. So best to combine with smokey/heavy kohled eyes, so your lips are not going to be the center of attraction. I don’t do eye makeup so I apply it after a lip liner to make it a bit bright.

P.S: I have included the nail picture because the nail color and the lip gloss color are the same :P, also this is my first nail art , sorry for the clumsiness I’m absolutely NEW.

This lip gloss has a consistency that is neither thick nor runny. Just perfect. Its not sticky like some glosses (Yes, I’m talking to you Coloressence!) . The shimmers in it doesn’t feel gritty. It actually plumps up the lips making it look healthy. It smells very minty. Actually not bad. And funny thing is I feel a tingling sensation after I apply this, like you apply fresh mint leaves paste over your lips. It is me alone or even others? It is moisturizing actually so you don’t need a lip balm at all.

Talking about the main part, this sweetheart doesn’t stay with me for a long time. Just 2-2.5hrs without snacks or worn with a lip liner and 1-2 hrs with mild snacks. It will surely not survive meals. Just like their lipsticks 🙁 (Why Maybelline Why?)

PROS:

  • Affordable (Yaaaay)
  • Easily available
  • Stunning nude shade, beautiful I mean
  • Universally flattering shade
  • Smells nice
  • Smart packaging
  • Moisturizing (doesn’t dry out)

CONS:

  • Staying power (it is a con too)
  • Tingling sensation (I dunno if its only for me)

Rating: 4.5/5 (I’m sorry sweetheart its your punishment for leaving me soon)

Do I Recommend?:

Definitely for the shade! Every girl needs a nude shade right? To school/college teens like me, for the price tag and for girls who don’t mind touching up often.

Would I Repurchase ?:

Will I live without my sweetheart ? NOOO. So I will definitely repurchase.

Coloressence Liquid Lip Color Peaches N Cream Review and Swatches

Hi sweeties..

I’m back with another review and again with a lip product. I love lip glosses. I personally feel they are something that brings freshness to my face. Today I’m going to review one of my favorite lip gloss Coloressence lip color in Peaches N Cream.

Price:

Rs.199 for 4ml

Coloressence Liquid Lip Color Price

My Take:

I absolutely love this lip gloss. Especially for its color and staying power. Coming to the packaging, it is really good and something cute to look at. It comes in a transparent cylindrical tube with a black cap. The cap has some interesting design at the top. The tube itself looks so cute and adorable. It comes packed in Coloressence’s typical black cardboard box. The applicator is of good quality.

Now coming to the main part, that is the color. Peaches N cream is really a very pretty color. It’s a pretty peachy brown shade. It shows more of brown than peach. However, the color is simply adorable. And yes, it would suit all complexions, from fair- dusky beauties. I have a wheatish complexion, and it doesn’t wash me out. It will look equally pretty on dusky beauties.

And yes, wait for a minute the name Liquid Lip Color doesn’t suit this cutie as it’s a sheer lip gloss. You need multiple swipes of it to show the true color. But I don’t mind since I love the color.

The staying power is really decent, as it stays for about 2.5-3 hrs if used alone and 3-4 hrs if used on a lip liner. It is very very moisturizing. Even without a lip balm it manages to jeep the lips soft. And now the sad part, it is damn STICKY. Yes, it is really sticky that when you wear it with loose hair, you are going to end up with gloss on your hair. But I guess it is sticky because of its moisturizing nature. So it becomes a pain to remove. If I need to wear a lip gloss, then it would be this one irrespective of any occasion. Overall I am in love with this lip gloss that I almost finished it 😛

PROS:

  • Affordable
  • Easily available
  • Cute packaging
  • Decent staying power 3-4 hrs
  • Color will suit all complexions
  • Good quantity
  • Available in small size also
  • Superb moisturizing effect
  • Pretty everyday wear shade

CONS:

  • Not well pigmented
  • Very sticky
  • Leaves a residue that has to be removed

Rating: 4/5

Do I Recommend?:

Of course, it is a very pretty color, good for everyday wear, will suit all complexions. Decent staying power considering it is a gloss. Effective yet affordable product. You will love it for sure. But please bear the stickiness.

Would I Repurchase?:

I have ordered one already 😛
