MAC Smolder Eye Kohl Review, Swatches and Photos

Oh baby.. You are my dream! You are my nightmare. DREAMS about having you on my eyes. NIGHTMARES about breaking my little piggy bank. I saved all my ice creams, chocolates, samosas, films, books paisa just for you alone. It took many nights to decide about bringing you home or not. Finally I gave you are a warm welcome into my heart and now you are sitting comfortably in my home. That BABY is my favorite MAC Eye Kojl. Since it’s a baby I wanted to give a poetic welcome and my expressions of love too. 🙂 No more poems, lets move on to the review.

My Experience:

I have a love-hate relationship with this product. I love its packaging. Who doesn’t love black? It comes in a standard matte black MAC rectangular box. The pencil is black in color. It is a normal type of pencil that needs to be sharpened. But I think it is quite long when compared to the other pencils. So it can last you for quite a long time.

The texture of this kohl is really smooth and creamy. It glides on eyes like butter, hence no tugging and pulling around eyes. Even though it has a creamy texture it doesn’t break while sharpening. Most importantly, it has that blackest black color that every girl wants.

As it is well pigmented you just need few swipes of this to get a jet black eye. It is not smudge proof actually. If you have watery eyes this is not for you, because it smudges so badly when eyes are rubbed accidentally. But once it settles it stays for a long time. It is not waterproof but water resistant. At the end of the day, it fades but doesn’t give you that raccoon eyes. I wear contact lens and it doesn’t irritate my eyes. Overall, it is not so worth of money but still a decent product.

On My Eyes:

PROS:

Nice packaging
The texture is smooth and creamy
Easy to sharpen, doesn’t break while sharpening
Blackest black color makes it stand out
Stays for a whole day if eyes are not rubbed or set with a eye shadow
Easy to create dramatic smokey eye looks just as the MAC MUA recommends

CONS:

As you guess, expensive!!!
Not smudge proof hence smudges a lot on watery eye and if rubbed accidentally
It is water resistant but not waterproof.

Rating: 3.5/5 (for being expensive, non smudge proof and non waterproof)

Do I Recommend?:

Yes, if you need a jet black kohl to create smokey looks and if you don’t have watery eyes and hyperactive hands. Not to forget if you don’t mind the heavy price tag.

Would I Repurchase?:

No. I cant break my piggy bank again. I think Lakme Eyeconic kajal works better than this.

Elle 18 Color Pops Lipstick Coral Shine Review and Swatches

Is there any ELLE 18 products flood here? Why has everyone around MABH gone crazy over ELLE 18? Is there any discounts? Is there any coupons provided? Am I missing anything? Is ELLE 18 products that good? Shall I get something for myself? Don’t think too much girls, these are exactly the lines that was running in my mind( like the sparrows :D) when I saw all the ELLE 18 products review here. I will stop my ramblings and move on to the review.

My Experience:

Who doesn’t love BLACK? If you, then you will surely love its packaging. Simple and smart. It comes in a simple black plastic case. It looks so girlish. The black and the pink combination takes it to the top. The bullet has a slant tip that makes the application more precise.

Coral shine looks pretty doll coral in the tube. When swatched it looks more of pink and less of coral. It has a glossy finish. It would look great on fair-medium skinned girls. Dusky girls may find it a bit neon-y. So its better to check it at the store.

I have bright wheatish skin tone and it suits me well. A good everyday pink shade. The texture is smooth so no tugging and pulling over lips. The lipstick is well pigmented. It has a lip balm core inside the bullet. It keeps the lips moisturized until the lipstick is on. But what? The lipstick doesn’t stay more than 2 hrs. This lipstick doesn’t leave any stain behind. This lipstick can also be used as pink cream blush. Overall, nothing to complaint considering the price tag.

Wide range of colors to choose from
Pretty everyday pink
Smooth texture
Moisturizing
Can be used as a cream blush due to no shimmers

CONS:

Doesn’t stay more than 2 hours
Ingredients list not mentioned

Yes! To those beauties for wants a coral pink shade and to those who don’t want to make a hole in your pockets. 😛 Come on girls, use it as a cream blush too.

I am back with a review on Dove body lotion. Summer is here and I’m sure none of us would like to slather heavy moisturizers on our skin. Short and sweet, this is a light body lotion perfect for summers. 🙂

My Experience:

This is one of my favorite body lotions for summer. It comes in a white plastic bottle with a flip flop cap. the lotion is light green in color. It smells fresh exactly like the dove go fresh bars. So refreshing and pleasant. But doesn’t linger for a long time.

The texture of the lotion is very light. It gets absorbed so easily. It is non greasy, so you will love it during summers. What I love the most with this lotion is, it gives a THANDA THANDA effect right after you finish applying it, which is to be welcomed during GARAM GARAM summers. But it doesn’t keep your skin moisturized for a long time.

Dry skinned girls will definitely feel to reapply it with a decent interval of time. It has become my HG body lotion for summers.
