Elle 18 Color Pops Lipstick Pomegranate Pie Review and Swatches

Hello everyone!

Today I am reviewing my most favorite lipstick till date. This was the first lipstick I ever bought and have been my HG shade ever since. Why is it so? Let’s see..

Price and Quantity:

Rs.100 for 4 ml

My Take:

The lipstick comes a cute black tube with a twist up bottom. The packaging is simple, elegant, girl and travel friendly. It will easily fit inside your clutch.

The lipstick has a beautiful gorgeous pink shade with mauve undertones. For every girl this will be a prized possession that I am sure of. I haven’t seen any skin tone which doesn’t get along with this one. This Elle 18 lipstick works well with warmer and cool skin tones. Go for a heavy kohl eye with this one and look amazing.. It works best with white, black, cream colored out fits.

It is a sheer lipstick but at the same time creamy enough to give moisture. It doesn’t bleed at all even in summers and offers complete coverage. It has a sweet bubble gum fragrance. You can use it alone without a balm for a rich color. By the way it looks perfect and mauve comes out in natural light.

This lipstick stays for 3 hours with light meals in between. It is easy to touch up! You don’t even need much swipes to get colour as it completely covers any pigmentation. I don’t have pigmentation but I can see that it will.

On My lips:

PROS:

  • Excellent color (Most beautiful pink I have seen in my collection)
  • Not balmy and not matte
  • Very moisturising
  • Suits every skin tone. It can be worn as an office shade too!
  • I can rave enough about this one. Please spare me.. Everything is perfect in this baby.

CONS:

  • Nothing to find fault.. (Staying power may be for someone but the price I get it’s not a con)

Rating: 5/5

Do I Recommend?:

For every one! As long as Elle 18 releases I will buy and recommend this beauty.

Would I Repurchase?:

Always. This is my second one already!

Elle 18 Color Pops Lipstick Cinnamon Bun Review and Swatches

Corals! They are one of the precious gem stones and precious colors for us girls. This beauty is one such precious colors. Let’s see if its lives up to the beauty of its color.

Price and Quantity:

Rs. 100 for 4.3 ml

Shelf Life:

30 months

My Take:

These Elle 18 lippies come in the coolest packaging ever.. I just love that girl with all smoldering looks. The packaging is chic, handy and travel friendly. It is easy to use as well, with the twist up bottom.

This lipstick has a beautiful pinkish coral shade with orange undertones in it. It glides extremely well onto my lips and it smells like yummy bubble gum. It is an excellent nude for summer wear and office wear. It works great with warm skinned ladies as well as cool skinned girls. It’s a complete nude color for me and may wash out people with wheatish skin tones.

It is a sheer lipstick which balmy in texture and need really a lot of swipes for full coverage. You can see in my lip swatch below as well and I at least swiped for 20 times to and fro to achieve that pigmentation.

As any Elle 18 lipstick, since this is so balmy it stays for 2 hours maximum and if used with a lip gloss then stays for 3 to 4 hours. I use Elle 18 lip smoothie peach after glow to top this and that works good

On My lips:

PROS:

  • Excellent colour
  • Easy application
  • No ugly shimmers and this suits everyone
  • Looks glossy
  • Available easily
  • Beautiful safe coral for starters
  • Easy on pocket
  • This also acts as my perfect coral cream blush (Yep!)

CONS:

  • Balmy! So the staying power remain average. For the price, it is okay.
  • Doesn’t give a complete coverage.

Rating: 3.5/5

Do I Recommend?:

Yes of course! This is a really beautiful color. They do have variants which resemble this one but still.. My best coral blush…? I won’t say pass to this one. Many girls will love this particular nude Cinnamon Bun shade if they are lovers of bold eye makeup.

Would I Repurchase?:

Of course!

Elle 18 Color Pops Lipstick Pinken Review and Swatches

Hello Everyone!

Today, I am going to review one of the Elle 18 Color Pops Lipsticks. After so many Elle 18 product reviews on MABH, I finally hauled some Elle 18 goodies last week and this lipstick is one of them. Read on to know why I love this lipstick so much!

Price and Quantity:

Rs.100 for 4.3 ml

Shelf Life:

30 Months

Key Ingredient:

Cocoa Butter

My Take:

This lipstick comes in a standard Elle 18 black tube with an animated girl picture printed to it. It has a twisted bottom. I love everything black so I love this lipstick tube too! 🙂 It is very handy and travel friendly.

This Pinken lipstick has a soft muted berry pink shade, a little more pinker than the Maybelline Berry Crush Lip Balm I own. This lipstick is free from those shimmers and glitters and that’s a good thing for me. The texture is buttery smooth! It glides smoothly onto my lips without any hardness and gives that lovely pink flush to my lips in 1-2 swipes. For a more intense color, I need to swipe this lipstick at least 6-7 times. The shade is moderately build-able and has average pigmentation.

If you are looking out for a pink lipstick that covers your lip pigmentation one swipe, this will not be your pick. I am not a crazy-for-lipstick type girl (as of now); I always love those tinted lip balms so I must admit here that I love this Elle 18 Pinken lipstick very very much. It suits my skin tone so well and gives that naturally pink lips! I do not over swipe it; just 2-3 swipes are enough on me. This particular shade will suit all skin types expect those with very dark skin (You can use it too by swiping just once or twice! It is one of the best affordable pink lipsticks available for dusky beauties)

The lipstick is very moisturizing (May be because of the Cocoa butter content?) and it smells extremely lovely too! Ah! The Cocoa fragrance – I am loving it. The lipstick stays on my lips for about 2 hours and fades after that leaving a beautiful pink tint. The tint stays for 2 more hours (Without intake of food) It surely doesn’t survive a meal though. The beauty of this lipstick is that it does not dry out my lips at all, even after fading. For 100 bucks, these Elle 18 lipsticks are super worthy! I am soon going to try out the other shades.

The only problem with these lipsticks (With all Elle 18 Color Pops Lipsticks) they do break! They break at the bottom and creates a mess because of their creamy soft texture. You must be very gentle while applying too or else they will break. However, my Pinken lipstick is resting inside the refrigerator to avoid this 🙂

PROS:

  • Cute girly packaging
  • Handy and travel friendly
  • This is a beautiful pink shade for all skin tones!
  • This lipstick gives a natural pink flush to the lips
  • Extremely moisturizing and doesn’t dry out lips
  • The cost is dirt cheap! for the worth and goodness
  • Fragrance is sweet and good
  • These lipsticks are a great hit among school/college girls
  • If you are a lipstick beginner, this pinken shade is for you!
  • Office goes will also find this muted pink shade good on them
  • Easily available everywhere from super markets to online

CONS:

  • They melt and break badly. Fridge please!
  • The pigmentation is not that intense; not for pigmented lips
  • Staying power is less

Rating: 4/5

Do I Recommend?:

I highly recommend Elle 18 Color Pops Lipsticks to everyone! The shade pinken is a must try for every lipstick lover out there! After all, it cost just 100 bucks. Get one for yourself; I am sure you won’t regret. These lipsticks are so moisturizing and creamy in texture!

Would I Repurchase?:

Of course yes! I will repurchase this shade again and again as it looks so natural on me. Before that, I am soon gonna haul some other shades from this range. Absolute love!
