Streetwear Color Rich Lip Gloss 01 Pink Desire Review and Swatches

This is my first review on MABH and I am so excited. This baby is the most favorite of all the lip glosses I own till date. This is my perfect nude pink lip gloss. It brightens my face the best and light enough in color to be is nude on me as well. Like I said the best. Now let’s see why I gave so many stars for this.

My Take:

This lip gloss comes in a transparent plastic tube with black screw cap and a feathery wand. The wand is really good for application. It is a bit longer than normal lip gloss sizes that I got till now. The cap is good and no leakage

It is a light peachy pink. This gloss goes well with most nude lip sticks and works best on nude or light pink lippies. It will tone down any darker lippies and will add a super 3d effect on the lips if applied at the center. It has pleasant fragrance which is not at all over powering and doesn’t stay long. It is a lot like Elle 18 smoothies but not overpowering like them.

The lip gloss is quite glossy and extremely creamy. Don’t use this alone on lip as it settles into fine lines making it look dried up and patchy. It’s really moisturizing and it holds whatever lip stick you use for longer time.

The lip gloss stays for around 3 hours if you don’t eat or drink and moisturisation is a bit less though only for 2 or 2 and half hours. I really wished it was more moisturizing.

PROS:

  • Available easily
  • Creamy finish
  • Beautiful! I mean really beautiful light peachy pink colour
  • Beautiful safe pink for starters and easy on pocket
  • Helps in holding your lipstick better
  • Mild fragrance and easily available.
  • Makes your face bright without being over the top and also plays the nude part at the same time.. what more I can say?

CONS:

  • Moisturisation might have been longer
  • Settles in fine lines and gives a patchy look (not a con actually because I used it alone without any base here which I usually don’t)

Do I Recommend?:

Yes! It’s a must try for every one. Even dusky skinned beauties will love this one for sure.

 

Would I Repurchase?:

Hell yeah. Would I skip on my perfect nude gloss? Never!

I’m back with another review and again with a lip product. I love lip glosses. I personally feel they are something that brings freshness to my face. Today I’m going to review one of my favorite lip gloss Coloressence lip color in Peaches N Cream.

My Take:

I absolutely love this lip gloss. Especially for its color and staying power. Coming to the packaging, it is really good and something cute to look at. It comes in a transparent cylindrical tube with a black cap. The cap has some interesting design at the top. The tube itself looks so cute and adorable. It comes packed in Coloressence’s typical black cardboard box. The applicator is of good quality.

Now coming to the main part, that is the color. Peaches N cream is really a very pretty color. It’s a pretty peachy brown shade. It shows more of brown than peach. However, the color is simply adorable. And yes, it would suit all complexions, from fair- dusky beauties. I have a wheatish complexion, and it doesn’t wash me out. It will look equally pretty on dusky beauties.

And yes, wait for a minute the name Liquid Lip Color doesn’t suit this cutie as it’s a sheer lip gloss. You need multiple swipes of it to show the true color. But I don’t mind since I love the color.

The staying power is really decent, as it stays for about 2.5-3 hrs if used alone and 3-4 hrs if used on a lip liner. It is very very moisturizing. Even without a lip balm it manages to jeep the lips soft. And now the sad part, it is damn STICKY. Yes, it is really sticky that when you wear it with loose hair, you are going to end up with gloss on your hair. But I guess it is sticky because of its moisturizing nature. So it becomes a pain to remove. If I need to wear a lip gloss, then it would be this one irrespective of any occasion. Overall I am in love with this lip gloss that I almost finished it 😛

PROS:

  • Affordable
  • Easily available
  • Cute packaging
  • Decent staying power 3-4 hrs
  • Color will suit all complexions
  • Good quantity
  • Available in small size also
  • Superb moisturizing effect
  • Pretty everyday wear shade

CONS:

  • Not well pigmented
  • Very sticky
  • Leaves a residue that has to be removed

Do I Recommend?: 

Of course, it is a very pretty color, good for everyday wear, will suit all complexions. Decent staying power considering it is a gloss. Effective yet affordable product.You will love it for sure. But please bear the stickiness.

 

Would I Repurchase?:

NYX Round Lip Gloss 04 Golden Red Review & Swatches

This being my first review, let me introduce myself as Nicekp. I am so glad to be a part of you all and I am looking forward to a wonderful time here. I love reading reviews especially if it is for some product that I am looking out for which makes it all the more exciting. There have been a couple of reviews that I have come across on MABH that have helped me in deciding to either buy or not buy a particular product.

What better way to start a New Year by reviewing one of my favorite products, a lip product. I simply love lip products. You can have so many and still there would always be that one colour that is still missing from your vanity 🙂 I plead guilty of this. Today I am reviewing a lip gloss for you all.

It is a lip gloss from the brand NYX. I was on the lookout for sometime now for a true red lip gloss that would be a little easy on the pocket too. And, that is when I came across ‘Golden Red’ by NYX on one of the popular online stores. I also picked up two other shades along with this one for which the reviews should soon follow this one. However, it was only after checking out some reviews for it online, youtube etc. that I decided to get it. So, lets see how it fares in my report card!


Price & Quantity:

Rs 148 for 2.5 ml. Its originally priced at 175/- but I got it at a discount from an online store.

 

Shade: 

The shade number is 04 and its called Golden Red.

 

Usage Directions: 

Glide the lip gloss applicator over the lips for glossy lips! 😉

 

Shelf Life: 

3 years from the date of manufacture.

 

My Take on NYX 04 Golden Red:

Packaging: It did not come in any container or box but the gloss in itself is in a plastic tube as seen in the picture. One can make out the colour from the tube itself. It is a pretty sturdy packaging and so must be travel friendly though I am yet to try that out. The packaging is recyclable too. The applicator too is nice and easy to use and is not difficult to pull out of the tube.

 

Colour, Consistency & Texture: The colour is a bronze golden red with plenty of shine (glossiness) to it and absolutely no shimmer. Thus living up to its name of being a gloss. The texture is neither too creamy nor too runny. It is just right! The fragrance too is mild and fruity and sweet but not the one that can give you a headache. Citrusy I think?

Pigmentation:  The colour pay off is amazing. It is a nice light red colour with golden effect. With just one swipe you get can a decent amount of colour onto the lips. It is not drying at all and at the same time not heavy on the lips. The staying power too is also similar to any other lip gloss of about 3 to 4 hours without any meal involved. After which it’ll only tend to fade away leaving a slight glossy look.

 

How it works: My lips basically are unevenly colored. The upper lip being pigmented. So, finding colours that would mask this uneven pigmentation is a trick in itself. Moreover, I am wheatish and have extremely dry skin that has issues in Chennai’s winter too. But, I have always loved red lips and this has never deterred me from buying red lip products. However I was dissatisfied by it all and that’s when I thought of giving lip glosses a try. I came across this one by NYX by chance and was excited that it was on a discount too. I picked it up immediately and thank God, I don’t have any regrets 🙂 With just a single swipe you can get a good amount of colour on your lips and it stays put. Plus it is cruelty free and hypo allergic as the product claims.
The only thing that bothered me was that it is still not my ‘true red’ for which the hunt still continues. I am aware of some other brands that have true red lip glosses but I am on the lookout for a pocket friendly one too.

 

PROS:

  • First and foremost, the price!!
  • It is available online on most sites.
  • The color pay off is amazing. True to its name. One swipe will do its job for a light reddish glossy effect.
  • It is absolutely no sticky.
  • It has no shimmers, plain gloss and shine.
  • Tastes fruity, citrus-like I think??
  • The staying power of around 3 to 4 hours is pretty decent too.
  • Light in texture but not drying on the lips.
  • Eco friendly, hypo allergic and cruelty free.

CONS:

  • None for the product as such but not my ‘true red’.

Do I Recommend?: 

I would absolutely recommend this to anybody who is on the lookout for a pocket friendly red lip gloss unless they want a true red like me. There is nothing I do not like about this product for me to not recommend it to any body.  And, being easy on the pocket for such a good quality product it is a definite YES from me.

 

Would I Repurchase?:

I would not repurchase the same colour but, others in this range I would definitely pick up. I actually picked up two more and would review them soon if interested. You can comment on that below. The other two shades are ‘Queen of Africa’ and ‘Chocolate Mousse’.
