Colourfulll πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€
Okay!!Now I’ll share my experience about how I got into the contest and won the first prize πŸ˜€ (The second prize is Mp3 player and the third prizes are only the hampers) This contest was open to all Indian residents and I won the first prize πŸ˜€ Do you know what is the contest about?? Nothing much.. It’s just like a photo contest! It’s needed to upload our photo on their wall and send in entries, the person who get more votes (Like) wins the contest! Now I’ll show you all the face washes and I’ll just give few lines about what I like in them soon after I smelt and viewed (I did not start using the face washes except the Perfect Radiance one, you can expect my reviews on these face washes soon. I am sure I’ll review the Perfect Radiance one first )
Lakme Fruit Blast Face Washes and My First Impressions
I have not started to use them yet, so my impression over them is based on fragrance and consistency, you can expect my detailed reviews on them sooner.
Strawberry Face Wash (Gentle Exfoliant for Smooth Skin)
My First Impression : It’s a gel based face wash with a lovely strawberry fragrance. I am sure that it will be a boon to everyone who loves strawberries. It really smells soo much yummy πŸ˜€
Melon Melt Fruit Quench Face Wash (With Muskmelon and Watermelon)
My First Impression : It’s a yellowish gel like face wash with lulla fibres floating in it (meant for exfoliation I think). I am not a great fan of melons so they don’t smell much as good as the strawberry one to me but still I cannot say that it smells bad at all. It has a good fruity smell which melon lovers might like πŸ˜›
Perfect Radiance Fairness Face Wash (With White Lilly and Sacred Lotus)
My First Impression : The face wash is really very smooth, creamy and it does smells little like Lilly for me really. I am using this one right now but I wont tell you now the results πŸ˜› (It’s secret, read in my upcoming post when I review it) I loved the cute pink packaging too.
Berry Lush Fruit Energizing Face Wash (With Strawberries and Raspberries)
My First Impression : The color is little darker than the strawberry face wash and it is gel based too. Even though the smell is similar to the strawberry face wash, I loved that one better than this according to fragrance. If I give 5/5 for strawberry face wash’s fragrance, I will just give this one 4.9. Loving it too!!
Citrus Rain Fruit Detox Face Wash (With Mandarin Extracts)
My First Impression: When I read the cover and smelt it, the first thing I got into my mind is “It would suit oily skins better”. The mandarin extracts may remove excess oil and cleanse skin I feel. Hmm Let’s see how it works after I start using it. I thought that this one will be gel based too, but it’s creamy like the perfect radiance one. Lovely mandarins delivers sweet and yummy citrus fragrance πŸ™‚
Hmmm.. These are just my impressions about the face washes, I will surely review each and everyone of them soon with pictures and pros and cons. Just wanted to share my happiness with you all friends, hope I didn’t bore you πŸ˜› I am going to have a lakme new year.. This is the First ever gift hamper I win and I am in love with it totally πŸ™‚ Thank you for reading this post and supporting me much in my blogging journey..
Advance Happy New Year wishes to all my visitors and blog circle friends! πŸ˜€

Lacto Calamine Classic Skinsurance Review

Lacto Calamine is my first ever used cosmetic product recommended by my sweet mom πŸ˜€ When I was studying in 5th std, I used to torture my mom daily by asking her to get me some cream for my face.. Seeing this she was so upset as creams in the market would spoil my 10 yr old young skin. Then she got an idea and got me a small pack of Lacto Calamine as it is very gentle and side effect free. Finally I got what I wanted and started using Lacto Calamine everyday on my skin as I am fond of cosmetics πŸ˜› (From the age of 10 itself)Β
Β Β Β Β  I don’t exactly remember till when I used it, may be one or two months.. that’s it, then forgot about it. After a very long time I got a pack of Lacto Calamine before 2 months to review it here. For past two months I am using my first ever known cosmetic product, noting it’s pros and cons. As my skin is oily, I bought the classic one. It also comes in another pack for dry skins, I think it is. Lacto Aloe Moisture.. Okay let me review the classic one here first and I’ll go for the aloe one next time when I shop.

My View About Lacto Calamine Classic Lotion
It is not mentioned in the pack whether it is a lotion or cream. It is thicker than a lotion but thinner than a cream so I take it as lotion. Lacto calamine comes in a thick plastic bottle which is flat. The bottle is lavender and white mixed in colour.Β  Even though the packaging is not too classy, I loved it πŸ™‚ The lotion is not too thin or not too thick as a cream, it is milkish pink in color which absorbs easily into my normal to oily skin.Β
Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β  I used Lacto calamine as a day cream as it doesn’t make my skin look oilier as some of the other moisturizers do. It was perfect, oil free, absorbs easily into my skin. I think this one will suit oily skins best than dry ones because the moisturizing effect is very less compared to the other moisturizers, may be the aloe one wills suit dry girls πŸ˜€ Oh I forgot to mention about it’s fragrance, it’s different but nice, like a flowery scent. But not much flowery too, Lacto calamine has it’s own fragrance and it’s a bit powdery cream in texture as far I have seen. But it’s not a matter at all as it acts as a perfect daily moisturizer for oily skins. It may leave some whitish cast in very dark complexions if applied too much. Overall, it’s a great lotion for oily skins and Lacto calamine is recommended by many dermatologists as it is very mild. So go head! Get a bottle and start using oily girls πŸ™‚ You will surely fall in love with it as I did!
PROS
  • Very mild, gentle and contains no parabens.
  • Recommended by many dermatologists for allergies and to soften skin texture.
  • Best moisturizer for oily skins in all seasons and normal skins in summer, may be in winter too depending upon the oil secretion in normal skins.
  • Acts as a good makeup base in oily skins.
  • Clears out skin texture and also evens out complexion with regular use.
  • Mild fragrance which doesn’t hurt my sensitive nose and the consistency which gets absorbed easily.
  • Affordable for the quantity and good worth.
CONS
  • Not suitable for dry skins in any season.
  • Whitish cast formed in darker complexions.
  • No SPF, well we cannot expect for a good SPF and all for this much affordable price. I don’t consider it as a con at all for the good worth of this lotion πŸ™‚
No other cons! πŸ™‚ Perfect skincare product to achieve clean and clear skin with regular use (Only for oily and normal skinned people) It is one of my top favorite product which I use often.
My Recommendation : A great moisturizer for oily(All season) and Normal skins (In summers)
My Rating : 4.5/5 (-1 for the whitish cast in dark complexions)

Head & Shoulders Smooth and Silky Anti-Dandruff Shampoo Review

In this post, I am going to review one of the shampoo from head and shoulders and it is Head and Shoulders Smooth and Silky Anti-Dandruff Shampoo. This is specially formulated for dandruff cure without drying out the hair, so that the hair shines smooth and silky. Let me review it with my experience of 1 month of daily usage.

Consistency and Color of the Shampoo
The Opening CapΒ
My View about Head and Shoulders Smooth and Silky Shampoo
I bought this product long back and used it for about a month. To say about packaging, the shampoo comes in a white plastic bottle which is flat, curvy at one side with a turning cap. The bottle is lovely white in color with pink shades in it and with a blue cap. I loved the simple packaging which looks cute except the turning cap, because it was little tough to open/close it and to take the shampoo out, sometimes I struggle to take out some shampoo and the other times, the shampoo flows much from the bottle. It also becomes clumsy around with shampoo flowing outside (sticky) πŸ™Β  I think it would be much better if they use a flip flop model cap instead of this.
Β Β Β  The consistency of the shampoo is not too thick, it’s not runny too. It is thick, creamy enough and milkish white in color. I loved the flowery fragrance which this shampoo delivers πŸ™‚ I did not expect this kind of yummy fragrance from an anti-dandruff shampoo because most of the anti-dandruff shampoos gives only chemical smells πŸ˜› I had mild dandruff and there were no much expectations for this shampoo at first from my side. The very first time I used it, I felt this shampoo lathers good and rinses out easily. I felt my scalp became free from dandruff up to an extent and my hair was smooth and smelling nice after rinsing my hair with this shampoo.
Β  I tried this shampoo for a week without conditioner and another week along with conditioner, I do have dry hair so it suited me only when I used it along with conditioner. When I used the shampoo alone without conditioning for a week, it striped out my natural oils gradually and made my hair little frizzy even though it softens hair at that instant. Lets move on to the pros of cons of Head and Shoulders Smooth and Silky πŸ˜€
PROS
  • Reasonably priced for the good quantity and quality.
  • I was impressed of the lovely flower like fragrance which makes every hair wash special and my hair was smelling nice on the days I shampooed my hair.
  • Lathers well and gets rinsed off easily.
  • Reduces dandruff and prevents it up to an extent.
  • Unlike the anti-dandruff shampoos, it doesn’t dry out my hair. It made my hair really smooth and silky up to a good extent when used along with the conditioner.
CONS
  • The packaging πŸ™ makes it hard and clumsy to use. It would be better if the shampoo comes in a flip flop cap.
  • Few of my cousins experienced little hair fall when they suddenly changed to this shampoo, it might be the chemicals and alcohol ingredients causing it in dry scalps for some people. For me, it was all right.
  • It doesn’t contain any natural ingredients and when I failed to rinse properly with lots of fresh water after lathering, the shampoo remaindered in my scalp and started appearing like flakes.
My Recommendation: Overall, I recommend oily and normal scalps who have dandruff to try this shampoo. Dry scalps will need a heavy nourishing conditioner if you want to use it.
My Rating: 4/5 (-1 for the packaging)
