Remove Sun Tan at Home {Summer Beauty Care Series Part 2}

As promised earlier, here comes the next part of our Summer beauty care series. We discussed about few very simple summer skincare ideas in Summer Beauty Care Series Part 1. Now, we can check some interesting facts about sun tan and their curing methods at home. Most of us know what is sun tan, if you don’t know much about sun tan, don’t bother.

Being a skincare beginner, these things are just common. Sun tan is nothing but an uneven darkening of skin due to the over exposure of sun rays. Have you ever noticed your wrist darker than your arms and shoulder? Aren’t your fully covered legs and thighs brighter than your hands? This is a great example for suntan. When our skin is exposed to the sun light, the UV rays of the sun affects the skin and gives an uneven tan. You can easily notice in people who do field work etc. It is hard to get rid of long time sun tan or completely remove it. But for sure, we can speed up the healing process and get back our original skin colour with a good skin care routine and patience as well.

So, don’t go behind those attractively packed chemical whitening lotions or bleaches. They may harm your skin and give you an older skin very soon! All you want is inside your kitchen. Gain some ideas from this post and make your own tan removing recipes for a tan free, bright and clear skin.

Cucumber and Honey Face Pack for Dry Skin Types
Cucumber is a fresh and juicy summer fruit which has been used as a great skin cooling and refreshing ingredient in wide range of cosmetic products. This cucumber, when mashed and mixed with pure honey can act as a great face pack on sun burnt or tanned skin. This effectively calms down skin and removes tan with the whitening properties of honey. Simply mash few pieces of cucumber, add honey and smoothly apply on your facial skin. Leave on for 15 minutes before washing. Honey has skin nourishing properties too, hence your skin’s moisture won’t be stripped off. If your skin is extremely dry, add few drops of olive oil with this pack.
Lemon and Papaya Face Pack for Oily Skin Types
Does your skin tends to become oily on hot summer days? Leave your worries. Lemon is here to solve your problem. Squeeze half a lemon, add a teaspoon of papaya puree and blend well to form a thick paste. This paste should be used as a face mask leaving the sensitive eye areas and left on skin for at least 15 minutes before washing. This summer fruit mask controls oil secretion and whitens skin with regular use. For excellent tan removing results, follow this thrice a week and don’t forget to add a few drops of rose water to this mask if you have sensitive skin.
Yogurt and Tender Coconut Face Pack for Normal Skin Types
Yogurt is meant for healing sun burns and tender coconut water is an excellent skin tonic. After a hot sunny day, mix both the yogurt and coconut water and blend well. Smooth on your face and relax for 20 minutes with cotton pads dipped in water over your eye lids. Wash off with plenty of fresh water and wipe off. Smooth and tan free skin is all yours if followed this pack regularly in the evening, after returning home.

Tit Bits to Remember
  • Prevention is better than cure, so wear a high SPF lotion before stepping out in sun.
  • Re-application of your sunscreen lotion is recommended once in every 3-4 hours.
  • Instantly calm down skin with fresh aloe gel if you experience any sun burn.
  • All the fruit masks mentioned above should be prepared freshly and used instantly.

Summer Beauty Care Series – Part 1

Ah! The summer heat is in! Winter has almost gone and now it’s the administration of “Mr.Sun” all over the earth. Most of us, especially women hate summer for several causes such as skin tanning, pigmentation, sweat and sunburns. In most of the Northern countries, people are crazy about summer and long for sun light to have a warm sun bath but what about here in India and other hot countries? We feel like being inside pressure cooker even though when we are inside home. Don’t just get irritated because of this current weather! 😛 Mr.Sun will be here for more than 6 months and will be showing his full power on the months of March, April and May. Prepare yourself and your skin of course to face the harmful effects of sun. I guess we talked a lot bad about sun 😛 It has some goodness too, especially for the dry skinned people. You do not want to worry about getting that winter stretchy skin or chapped bleeding lips. Summer is kind enough not to strip off excess moisture from your skin but remember, instead of that, the UV rays is in form to harm!
From today, may be daily or often  we are going to discuss here about summer skincare tips and ideas for a beautiful skin and hair. This is the part 1 series and please head on to our space regularly for many more series and save your skin from Mr.Sun!
As this is the first part, let us make it easier for skincare beginners too. Haven’t you taken care of your skin till now? Feeling hard to find about words like exfoliation, CTM routine and SPF? Leave your worries. We can begin this series with very simple ideas so that you can come along with us part by part and learn things about summer beauty care.
Splash Water Everywhere
Everywhere doesn’t mean your home or any place, it’s just your skin. Skin is the largest organ of the body which protects our inner organs. So don’t we at least do justice and protect our skin from the sun for saving our organs? Water is a thing of life! It cools down, it hydrates and of course it makes us alive. Whenever you get time, splash cold water on your skin and gently wipe off with a soft cotton towel. This will heal the minute burns and redness caused due to the sun rays. Small ice cubes if rubbed on your facial skin does wonders in summer season. It calms down the skin, controls and reduces open pores and also minimizes the acne bumps. So remember, twice, thrice or as many times a day splash cold water over your facial and body skin.

Welcome Watery Fruits
You can see watermelons, cucumbers and other juicy fresh fruits everywhere now! When summer begins, these fruits fill up most of the markets. So visit your nearest market and pick some healthy and fresh fruits. Eat them everyday or juice them and drink, keep sure to add honey as the sweetener instead of the slow poison “Sugar”. These fruit juices not only hydrates your body, they provide hydration and glow to your skin. Watery fruits just for your tummy? Not at all. You can pamper your skin with them actually. For example, make to slices of a juicy watermelon, a big slice and a small slice. The bigger one is for your stomach and make the smaller one work on your facial skin. Simply rub it over your facial skin, leave on for few minutes and wash off with cold water. Not only watermelon, fruits like cucumber, papaya and many other do wonders on calming and improving skin. For more benefits and chillness, keep the fruit slices on your refrigerator for minutes. Take them out and let your skin enjoy them! Juices can also be applied all over your facial skin. Following this fruit skin care and body care makes you a healthier as well as a younger glowing person! Radiant and soft skin is all yours.
Say Yes to Diary Products
Milk, butter, yogurt and ghee? Welcome them to your daily summer skincare routine. Raw milk should be applied on your skin every morning before bath and every evening after reaching home to calm down and soften skin. This can be left for 5 minutes to work and washed off thoroughly with cold water. Milk is one of the best natural skin cleanser and sunburn curer, so don’t say no to it. Dry foot occurs not only in winters, but in summers too. Wash them properly and massage with smooth cow butter every night before going to bed. Peacock feather like, sunburn free soft feet is all yours within a week! Yogurt is for calming skin and removing tan so apply it over your skin after sun exposure. Leave on for 15 minutes to work and wash off. This can be followed regularly to maintain your skin tan free and bright. So what about ghee? Last but not least, ghee is for your pinky lips. Lips suffer from harmful UV rays too! Calm them down and cure the burns with a ghee massage every evening after coming home. See how helpful diary products are! So say yes to fatty butter and ghee, only on your skin not on your diet in larger amounts.
For today, these are enough I guess! Follow these ideas and let us know how it works.
Let your skin glow and beat the sun, this summer! Keep visiting here for more parts on this summer beauty care series.

So buddies! How are you going to take care of your skin this summer??? We are waiting to hear now.

Vedic Line Papaya Scrub Review

Hey buddies! Yesterday we were seeing about the Vedic Line Papaya Face Pack and now comes the scrub review. I love all the products which have papaya content because it’s my favorite skin fruit. I never eat it but love to use on my face for a glowing effect. The Vedic Line Papaya Face Pack and scrub are more or less same except the walnut ingredient in the scrub. As I already reviewed the face pack clearly, I am going to finish this short and sweet. I highly recommend to read the Papaya Face Pack Review here, so that you can get an idea. Okay now let us move on to the review of Vecic Line Papaya Scrub.

My Views and Ratings
The Packaging
The Vedic Line Papaya Face Scrub comes in a pack as same that of the Papaya face pack, in a semi transparent tub with a screw top lid with an inner vacuum lid inside to prevent spillage. Even though I don’t prefer tub packaging, this one is quite good I feel because the consistency cant be squeezed from a tube. The pack is very sturdy and travel friendly.
3.5/5
Colour, Consistency and Fragrance
It has a muddy texture with a normal consistency, not too runny but surely a little thinner than the papaya face pack from Vedic Line. The consistency is perfect for a scrub to spread easily and workout on skin. It has tiny walnut shells floating on it which looked very sweet and the fragrance is adorable too, as same that of the face pack. Nothing I see artificial in this scrub.
 4.5/5
How it Works
A very little amount of scrub is enough for the whole face and neck, it spreads very easily and smoothly. The walnut shells exfoliated my skin and removed tan up to an extent within a week of usage but I wished the shells could be a little more gentle. So that this will become a perfect facial scrub for all types of skin. You can very gently scrub this over your facial skin so that no chance of over exfoliation at all. It’s just perfect I feel, I use this as my body scrub too. The walnut shells are perfect for my body skin. This scrub leaves skin incredibly soft instantly and refreshes skin. Use this for a brighter, tan free and blemish free skin. A moisturizer is highly recommended after every usage.  To be more natural, you can use the Vedic Line Sandalwood & Turmeric Moisturizer after using this scrub.
4.5/5
PROS and CONS are same as the Vedic Line Papaya Face Pack (Highly recommend to read it) except the walnut shell ingredient in this scrub. It scrubs my skin well and removes dead cells if scrubbed gently however I request sensitive skins to scrub very very gently, as that of baby’s skin because the shells are little over powering.
My Recommendation: Surely give a try, this is such a natural and effective scrub which comes in a affordable price.
Overall Rating: 4.5/5
Will I repurchase?: Sure. I am recommending this Vedic Line Scrub to my friends too.
