Vedic Line+ HandsOn Hand Cream Review

Hello everybody! How many of you had this dirty habit of biting your nails? I did and I would get slapped on my wrist by my mum or whomever else who found it disgusting. Thankfully now I have stopped it but then my hands have the marks to show their suffering. Daily, I would apply body creams on my arms and then rub the remaining on my palms and I was done. I work in an air conditioned place for about 9 hours a day. This added to my hand woes 🙁 I started noticing dry skin near my nails and the gap between the fingers. I realized my body cream was not enough and too bulky to carry around in my handbag. I didn’t want to spend too much on a cream too. So, after some good research on the Vedic Line brand, I got this cream.

My Experience with Vedic Line+ HandsOn Hand cream:

Packaging: A pleasant blue colour tube with a flip top and a small nozzle. The package says ‘Perfect antidote for chapped and rough hands’

Colour, Consistency & Fragrance/Texture: The cream is white in colour. It is thick and creamy. I can’t describe the fragrance. I even asked my friends but all I got was ‘Hey, this smells like a baby lotion’ and ‘it’s nice’ 🙂

How it works: I like the blue tube. It looks classy yet simple. Since I spend about 9 hours daily in AC, my hands keep getting dry. I simply apply a pea sized amount on both my palms and just rub them together. Do not forget the space in between your fingers. The cream is not oily and gets absorbed quickly so your palms don’t feel greasy. But you need to reapply this every 3-4 hours atleast. I don’t mind that part 🙂 This cream gGives me a break from typing on the keyboard and keeps my hands smelling nice always.

PROS:

Does have moisturizing properties
Paraben free
Smells nice
Gets absorbed quickly
Doesn’t have a greasy feel
Decently priced

CONS:

Have to reapply every few hours

Do I Recommend?: Yes. If you would like to start with a good hand cream then you can try this. Feels light on the pocket. However, if you have dry skin, you might have to reapply more often or go for a cream with more moisturizing properties.

Would I Repurchase?: Yes.

Seabuck Essence Veg Peel Pack Review

Hello Everyone!
For a clear glowing skin, we ladies tend to do many things. So in my quest of trying different face packs, I came across Seabuck Essence Veg Peel Pack. So why I bought this only??? Because among many claims, the company says that it is highly effective for dark elbows, knees and feet!! I was amazed and grabbed it. Read on to know how much it lived up to its claims.

Price & Quantity: Rs. 75 for 50gm

Claims:

Highly effective for dark spotty skin elbows, knees and feet. It is used for all kind of skins and scar, freckles, blemishes, sun tans and black heads. It improves your skin texture by removing dead cells.

Active Ingredients: Gum acacia, yashad bhasm, almond powder, apricot powder, jajoba seed powder, talcum powder, ghritkumari powder

Usage Instructions: Make a smooth paste with milk or water, scrub, apply on affected area and rest of the body, keep it for few minutes, do not soap.

Shelf Life: 2 years

My Experience with the Product:

Packaging: The pack comes in an opaque plastic tub packaging with a screw open cap.

Colour & Fragrance: It is a powder pack, off white in color. It has very tiny granules which do not hurt while scrubbing. The pack is fragrance-free.

How it works: This is my first herbal peel pack. I had heard that peel packs work more efficiently in removal of scars and blemishes than the normal face pack because of their active ingredients. I mix this powder with rose water, scrub lightly in two or three upward strokes and then let it dry. No time limit has been mentioned in the directions, but I find that 15 minutes is the sufficient time for the pack to dry completely. The granules are not too coarse and give a very mild scrubbing. As mentioned, this pack is really effective when used on dark skin on knees, elbows and feet. I use it on my feet once a week. The after results are quite satisfactory though not great as the skin is clearer. It did not help in lightening my foot skin as I had expected. The pack does not dry out skin after washing. Also it has not caused me any breakouts. The skin did feel tighter and pores visibly reduced. Overall, it just works like any other face pack will work, nothing miraculous or extra-ordinary about it.

This is a product that did not live up to its high claims but I like using it once a week as it gives me a visibly clear skin.

No, would like to try out other veg peels.

Sorry for the small MIA thing. Got busy both in office and at home so could not squeeze out time. MABH has become an integral part of me so could not stay away for long. Thank you Lancy and thank you all for reading and liking my reviews!!
So today, I am going to review a face polish. We all get conscious of dead skin cells and specially if they are on our face. Also many us face problem of whiteheads and regular scrubbing is a good way to get rid of these. So I am always on the lookout of good face scrubs which will give me a quick fix for these issues and cleanse my face deeply.

VLCC Fade Tan Skin Polishing Face Scrub Review

Claims:
VLCC Fade Tan Skin Polishing Face Scrub contains orange peel oil and is suitable for all skin types. Over exposure to harmful UVA and UVB rays of the sun is responsible for skin darkening and ageing. After a glorious day in the sun, this effective scrub with deep cleansing and purifying action rejuvenates skin, post sun exposure. Enriched with orange peel oil and lemon peel oil, it effectively washes away sun-tan while the unique scrubbing granules exfoliate dead skin cells and superficial white and black heads.

My Experience:

Packaging: The scrub comes in a semi-transparent tube packaging in yellow with a flip open cap orange cap. The colors of the tube are very vibrant and I quite like them. The flip cap is sturdy which makes the tube travel friendly. On squeezing, just the right amount comes onto your palm.

Colour, Consistency & Fragrance: The scrub is orange in color. It has a gel like consistency with micro beads in it. The scrub smells strongly of melons (yes, you read it right!!). I like the fruit fragrance but it might be a concern for some people.

Swatch:

How it works: I take a small amount and massage it onto my wet face and neck for about a minute and wash it off by splashing cold water. The scrub does not lather much but clear can be seen and felt after each wash. This scrub has effectively removed my white heads after 3-4 washes but I need to use it regularly for long lasting effects. The scrub particles are very mild and not at all harsh on the skin. I do not have blackheads so cannot comments about its affectivity in removing the same. I had tanning on the forehead and after continuous usage, I can see that it has reduced considerably. However, to prevent tanning one should take additional steps of using a sun-block and taking care of your skin post sun-exposure more often. My skin also doesn’t feel dry after usage.

CONS:

A good two in one product for scrubbing and removing tan.

Would I Repurchase?:
May be not, as I keep changing my scrubs and face washes. But would not mind re-purchasing it sometime later, given the good experiences with this product
