My Take on Nomarks Anti Marks Fairness Cream:

To start with this review let me tell you guys that I have normal to dry skin with some freckles and slight pigmentation on the extreme sides of my cheek bones. I have been using Nomarks cream for the last two years and keep buying it again and again without fail. It comes in a small plastic tube making it easy to carry as well as take the product out.

The cream is beige in colour with a very creamy consistency which is easy to blend. Trust me its like a thick moisturizer and not like other creams which needs to be rubbed vigorously onto the skin. Once applied it hydrates the skin very effectively and does not leave behind any whitish residue like other creams do. One more good thing about this cream is that it does not make me sweat profusely after using  it. And yes how can I forget its divine smell!

Now coming to the claims made by the company, it actually works on the spots. With regular application of this cream my pigmentation got lightened to a large extent and some of my freckles vanished away too but one needs patience as it takes time. I got pigmentation as I never bothered to use sun protection so it was as an external affair. If anyone has pigmentation due to some internal illness then I don’t know how far this product will work. Also I don’t have dark circles so I don’t know if it would be able to remove them.

In all, this cream nourishes my skin, keeping it soft and supple and removes spots gradually. However it does not do anything to stubborn marks which may be a little older than the others. I have been using this as a day and night cream for a long time and will keep doing so as this suits my skin very well.

Why I like this Cream?:

  • Extremely hydrating for dry skin.
  • Helps to fade freckles, blemishes and pigmentation.
  • Easy to carry as it can be slipped into the tiniest of hand bags.
  • Easy to blend into the skin
  • Quick absorbing
  • No whitish cast
  • Does not make me sweat profusely unlike other creams
  • Packaging is such that there is no wastage of the product
  • Suitable for all seasons
  • Does not break out the skin
  • Heals dry patches on skin
  • Its an ayurvedic cream so no side effects
  • Easily available
  • Fits into the budget of teenagers
  • Separate cream available for oily and normal skinned beauties too
  • Got a facewash free along with this.
  • Good as a daily day and night cream.

Why I don’t like this Cream?:

  • No fairness is acquired as claimed by the company
  • Extremely dry skinned girls may need reapplication in a few hours
  • Smell may bother some of you but I like it
  • Wish they had added some SPF to this.
  • Does not work on stubborn marks

MABH Rating: 4.5/5

My Recommendation:

Yes I would definitely recommend this to everyone with dry skin as it improves the texture of skin over time and fits into your budget too. Hope you find my review helpful. Thank you for reading.

Colorbar Nail Color Sizzling Pink Review and NOTD

by Snigdha

Hi All!
I am here with my second post on MABH. I love applying different shades of nail paints whether it is branded or non-branded (does not matter for me). I used to have long and well shaped nails but now-a-days I have to cut my nails for my new born baby. okay now come to the product i.e. Colorbar NP ‘Sizzling Pink’.

Colorbar is a very familiar brand among all of us and the name of the NP indicates that it’s a shade of pink. If am not wrong, pink is a color which each girl wants in her wardrobe and for me pink is one of the bright and eye soothing colors which brings a cheerful mood. I love everything pink in my makeup wardrobe especially.

So let’s come to the detail review.

Product Description:

The Colorbar Nail Polish is a simple one stroke application and fortifies the nails while giving them a high shine and intense color. It is fast drying and chip resistant. It does not yellow the nails and is long lasting. It is just what you need to make your hands look salon perfect!

Price and Quantity:

Rs. 110 for 9 ml

Availability:

Available at all colorbar stores and also online (I bought it online)

Shelf life:

2 yrs from mfg.

My Take on Colorbar Nail Color Sizzling Pink:

This nail color comes in a typical square shape glass nail paint bottle with a black sturdy cap which makes it travel friendly. It has also a good quality applicator. The NP is bubble gum pink in color. The texture is neither so thick nor so thin. Its just easy to apply.

Two coats are enough for the full opaque coverage. The glossy finish of it brightens my fingers a little and I love it.

Then when it comes to the staying power, I will say it is  okay-okay type. After 4-5 days (maximum) it starts chipping from the top (I do all my household work) If you apply a top coat on it then it may stay for some more days.

At last I must say it is pretty good according to its quality and quantity. See the below pictures and say how it is  looking on my nails.

Why I like this Nail Polish?:

  • Nice shade (Pink loving girls gonna love it)
  • Good quality applicator
  • Affordable price as compare to quality and quantity
  • Easily available colorbar stores and online
  • Two coats enough for a good coverage.

Why I don’t like this Nail Polish?:

  • Excluding the staying power I can’t find anything wrong.

MABH Rating: 4/5

Will I buy it again?:

Hmm. I will try another shades.

Have you tried any Colorbar NPs ?

Avon Naturals Strawberry Lip Balm Review and Swatches

Hi girls!

One of the lip balms I promised to review in my Best Budget Pink Lip Balms and Lip Glosses article was this strawberry lip balm from Avon. This also happens to be my HG lip balm. Read on to know why 🙂

Price and Quantity:

Rs 99 for 4 g. When there’s a discount offer going on you can also get it for as low as Rs 70.

My Take:

Like I said, this lip balm has been my HG lip balm – for over 6 years now! I have been using it since it came in that tub form! The packaging changed to this convenient twist up form a couple of years back. (If you use a product long enough to see it go through a complete makeover, I think you’ve used it for QUITE a while!)

You’ll need a bit of a flashback to know why I love this lip balm so much. You see, I have always had very dry lips that just point blank REFUSE to get hydrated. Even Vaseline, yes Vaseline doesn’t work on my lips. You can imagine what a nightmare it was for me to look for a lip balm that provided even a little bit of hydration to my chapped lips. That’s when I found this lip balm. Till date this is the only lip balm that actually moisturizes my lips. No other lip balm has even come close to how well this Avon lip balm works for me.

It gives a very subtle wash of reddish pink color to my lips. The lip balm has no shimmer. The colour payoff is actually quite mediocre on my pigmented lips, but I’m sure you understand by now that I’m more than willing to let that go! (The swatches and LOTD show like 5-6 swipes of the lip balm!)

Of course, I wish that this lip balm gave more colour to my lips, like the Nivea Fruity Shine Lip balm or the Maybelline Color Bloom Color Changing lip balm (the colour payoff of that is just TOO good to be true, and yet it is true!). Another small issue I have with this lip balm is that it fades without leaving any colour, and about an hour or so after it fades, my lips start to feel dry again so I have to reapply.

Why I like?:

  • Very reasonably priced
  • Keeps lip soft and moisturized
  • Not at all sticky or waxy
  • Gives a soft pink tint to the lips
  • Does not feel heavy on the lips
  • Pleasant fragrance
  • Tastes good too!

Why I don’t like?:

  • Colour payoff could have been better
  • Needs to be reapplied to keep the lips hydrated
  • Fades without leaving any tint whatsoever

Rating: 4.5/5

Final word:

As far as lip balms go this is quite reasonably priced and it delivers in terms of hydration. Plus it is tinted and smells incredible! Although I have branched out in the world of lip balms and I now own about 10 different ones, for me this lip balm is irreplaceable 🙂

Will I repurchase?:

I think this is around my 30th strawberry lip balm from this range! I buy these like 2-4 at a time because Avon has discounts often and so I stock up on these lip balms every few months. There are two brand new ones lying in my drawer as I write this!

Do I recommend?:

If you’re like me and NOTHING works on your lips, then yes I would suggest that you try this out 🙂 for others, just have fun with the different variants, there is nothing bad about these lip balms – they are definitely worth a try.
