Faces Canada Go Chic Poppy Red Lipstick Review and Swatches

My first lipstick from Faces Canada Go Chic range is Candy Floss and Poppy Red is the 2nd I have in my Vanity. I was new to faces then, and was very keen to try out their products. Few months back I went to store to buy few groceries and end up buying this lipstick. To my surprise I am not at all a red lipstick fan, but how come I ended up picking this one? The first time when I tried Faces Canada Go Chic Candy floss, I fell in love with the colour, texture and more of the price ;). I decided to haul more of it.

Price and Quantity:

Rs 199 for 4.5gm / 0.16oz

There are many shades available to choose from.

Fig, Poppy Red, Port Wine, Hazelnut, Black Cherry, Chestnut Brown, Sparkling wine, Plummed, Hot Chocolate, Carnation pink, Candy Floss, Mulberry Slush, Iced Pink, Glazy Orchid, Cocoa Indulgence etc.

My Take on Faces Canada Go Chic Lipstick Poppy Red:

I went and asked SA to show me few shades and pink was in my mind. But after seeing the swatches and pigmentation this guy picked up by me and I tested on my lips. Surprisingly it looked different on my lips than swatches. The colour instantly brighten up my faces. The packaging is very simple but slim, sturdy, glossy black body looks very sleek and smart. It has a silver rim in middle where Faces (Brand mark) is mentioned.

The shade, colour and numbering are sticked below alike many other lipstick brand does. It has a two way rotating formula, you can easily roll up and roll down the bullet of the lipstick. The lid do shut with a ‘cut’ sound satisfactorily without any fail

Poppy Red is beautiful warm teraccota red with hint of orange tone. Its not to red nor to orange but mixed of both. The pigment is medium to build able.

You may need couple of lip swatches to bring out the density of the colour. And If you have pigmentation then you may need at least 3 swipes of it. It gives satin texture, smooth and non drying effect on lips, which is great for dry lips. As its buildable you can wear it both day and night time. Beautiful shade 🙂 It stays on my lips more than 2 hours and then touch ups is needed.

Why I like this Lipstick?:

  • The colour of course. Those who can’t carry true red or orange shade can try this.
  • The moisturizing formula don’t dry lips.
  • Decent staying power considering the price.
  • Did not irritate my lips.
  • No horrid smell or so..
  • Do not transfer much.
  • The pocket friendly price/
  • Quantity.

Why I don’t like this Lipstick?:

  • Wish staying power can be more 
  • Contains paraben and other chemicals.

Final Verdict: 

This is one of the best mix of red and orange tone which make a beautiful color every girl can carry smartly. This lipstick is a perfect wear for both day and night. I will definitely recommend to try this brand and the colours!!

Etude House Mini Jam Jam Hand Lotion Citrus Review

Hello Everyone!

We have our own preference in personal fragrances. I like fruity kind of smell than anything else. And today I am going to review one of my another favorite hand cream which has the same fruity smell in it.  Few months back I was not into so much of skin care or make up but after entering into blogging world I secretly started admiring it. And today I love this world. 🙂  The day when I came to know about this Etude House Mini Jam Jam Hand Lotion, I wanted to try it out. Do read below to know how I feel about it.

Citrus Scented Hand lotion formulated with natural fruit extracts to moisturize skin.

Directions:

Apply to hands by rubbing and massaging into skin.

Volume:

35ml (1.18 fl.oz.)

Not mentioned in the tube but it is available for $5.99 each or you may get at discounted price also from few Korean sites.

My Take on Etude House Mini Jam Jam Hand Lotion Citrus:

Alike other Jam Jam lotion this hand lotion has same kind of tube packaging which is very handy and cute looking. I am basically attracted by its cute looking adorable kind of packaging and smell. The smell of this hand lotion is not exactly citrusy as it claims but it has a fresh and refreshing mellow and subtle mixed orange/fruit smell (very difficult to say.. urrgghh 😛 ) which is not at all annoying rather sweet smelling.

When I asked one of my friend-fum-fister Nikitha Di she happy sent me 2 of this hand lotion one in strawberry and other is citrus ( reviewing today)  It is more moisturizing then Etude House Mini Jam Jam Hand Lotion in Strawberry variant which I reviewed on MABH before. But I love the smell of strawberry one more than this: P

As far I know they are available in 5 different types:  Citrus, Walnut, Strawberry, Milk and Hand Cream gel.

Why I like this Hand Cream?:

  • I liked its fresh kind of smell which is very soothing.
  • The texture of the lotion is very light which gets absorbed in 2 minutes.
  • The smell again which last for almost 1 hour and then fades away.
  • Does not feel sticky
  • This is more moisturizing than strawberry one which I like.
  • The packaging is sleek and handy, easily to carry.
  • So small to adjust in your purse easily.

Why I don’t like this Hand Cream?:

  • The price is the main con which is higher for 35 ml of product.
  • May not protect hands in winters.
  • Don’t work on cuticles
  • Do not help in removing tan.
  • Availability is main factor.

Final Verdict:

I like its soothing kind of smell and moisturizing formula in summer but I don’t think it will help me in winters. Its very cute and I love to have them but seeing the availability, price and quantity I have to think before I wish for this. 😛

Lotus Herbals Pure Stay Lip Gloss Pink Hypnotic Review

Hello Beauties!!
Those who are gloss lovers, this is a kind of gloss to drool on.  Since when Lotus launches its ‘Pure Stay’ ranges, it has captured the market immensely. Firstly because of its wide variants’, good quality, great coverage and reasonably low price. I am not a fan of Lotus original variants at all, no specific reason but its just don’t excite me.. nah not at all. :/

But this Pure Stay range is basically a makeup range consist of Foundation, Pressed Powders, Blushes, lipsticks, lip glosses, eye shadows, eyeliners, liner pencils, etc etc.. 😛

Price: 

Rs 395 for 8 gm

(The quantity is huge considering the price, isn’t it??)

Active Ingredients:   

Evening Primrose Oil, Grape Seed Oil and Vitamin E.

My Take on Lotus Herbals Pure Stay Lip Gloss Pink Hypnotic:

Pink Hypnotic is one of the beautiful colour which Lotus Pure Stay lip gloss has. The packaging of the gloss bottle is sleek, manageable and handy. It is easily adjustable in your purse or handbags. Its has a doe applicator which help gloss glide on smoothly on lips.

I like how pure stay range reasonably priced to serve each sector of society. Thumbs up for that (Y)!! The quality is also great along with the pigmentation. If you guys remember few months back Lotus had an offer of 50% off on purchase on or above Rs 800. This is when I picked up this gloss along with Pure stay foundation.

The colour of this shade is coral pink which has subtle shimmer in it. Its not overboard but right amount of sparkle needed to add that glow. It has opaque finish to it and need multiple quotes to understand the actual colour. The only downside which I don’t like is its sticky and feel heavy on lips otherwise it has a good staying powder. On me its stay put for almost 2-3 hours without munching. After that it disappear from lips gradually. Its thick consistency gives moisturizing effect and do not dry up lips.

On My Lips:

Why I like this Lip Gloss?:

  • The coral colour which I like the most. It’s a must have colour for lip gloss lovers.
  • The staying power is good considering the price.
  • Very sheer opaque finish, which you can top it on your lipstick to add shine.
  • Instantly add glow to your face.
  • Moisturizing.

Why I don’t like this Lip Gloss?:

  • As said I hate those sticky feeling on my lips.
  • Don’t cover pigmentation so much.
  • Need multiple swipes to show up actual colour.

Final Verdict: I would definitely recommend this lipgloss or rather this shade to every gloss lovers. Its suits every skin tones. I really like this J . Nice thing is they have loads of shades available to choose from. Nice sturdy gloss bottle, cool shades, packaging and the wands. Go get it. You won’t be disappointed.
