Bodyography Veil Foundation Primer Clear Review & Swatches

Hi Pretty girls,

I am back from my vacations all fresh and charged up! I went to Alibaug and Kashid which are very close to Mumbai. Everybody said that after visiting Goa I’d be disappointed with their beaches but as a matter of fact I wasn’t.. Their beaches are very calm and serene and not much commercialized as yet, which is the best part. The most memorable part was taking a long walk with my hubby at kashid beach on their white sands early in the morning 🙂 (Yes! I am a die hard romantic girl)

Okay enough of the mushy talks 😉 Today I’m going to review this little product, the Bodyography Veil Foundation in Clear Shade which has really taken me by surprise..

My Take:

Packaging: The product comes in a cute tiny squeezable black tube.

Color, Texture & Fragrance: This primer is totally colorless and has a very mild pleasant odor. It won’t irritate sensitive noses. It has a very silky texture with smooth consistency.

How it works: I just popped a pea sized amount on the back of my hand and applied it all over my face and neck. This wonderful primer has weightless formula and blends in before you even get to know 🙂 It creates a silky smooth layer on your face and acts as a very good makeup base. It does not irritate or itch and is suitable for oily/sensitive skin types like mine. (Yay! I’m happy)

This little product does fills out all those fine lines and does not breakout as claimed.. And yes! it does make my makeup stay longer than usual. I an super duper impressed by the amazing quality of this product and the fact that it does what it claims. You know it works when your makeup is intact when you come back home after a busy day 🙂

PROS:

Just a pea size amount is enough for one application
The product lasts long.
Spreads out evenly without breaking
Silky smooth finish
Provides a great makeup base.
Does not irritate/itch your skin.
Actually helps makeup last longer
Amazingly light formula
Does fills those fine lines

CONS:

A bit expensive (But worth the price)
Quantity is very less

Rating: Without any doubt it is 4/5

Do I Recommend?:

Yes, Definitely Its a product worth having for its amazing quality and a must must have for the oily skinned girls like me.

Would I Repurchase?:

Of course I will, as soon as this one finishes 🙂

CoverGirl LashBlast Volume Mascara Very Black Review

Hi All,

Today I am going to review a mascara from Covergirl.

Price & Quantity:

$4.33 for 13.1 ml ( 44 fl oz liq )

Shade:

Very Black (800) also available in shades Black, Very Brown and Brown

Product Availability:

This awesome baby is also from USA brought to me by my sis in law 😛 but I really hope it to be available in India soon..:)

Shelf Life:

It is recommended replacing this mascara 4-6 months after opening a tube. Sealed tubes lasts for up to 2 years though.

My Experience:

Packaging: This product comes in a very lovely orange colored slender plastic tube with an extremely handy brush with very interesting thick bristles that are designed to separate and curl your lashes as you apply 🙂 Super cool isn’t it??

Shade: This particular product is in the shade Very Black with a thick and creamy texture which is highly pigmented with intense color. This nascara has a pungent unpleasant odor and its the only flaw really!

Mascara – Before and After Water Test:

How it works: After opening the mascara I started with pressing the wand of the mascara to the roots of my upper eyelashes up to the tip of my lashes and Voila!! The mascara didn’t clump at all even after 2-3 strokes and dried up quickly. Its amazing bristles prevent the mascara to ever clump .No need of the lash comb 🙂
This is a heaven for the girls like me who have not so thick but long lashes. It does pump up the volume of your lashes in just a single stroke. I added more strokes to my outer corner lashes and it looked amazing. It really opened up my eyes and defined them beautifully and did not flake at all and despite being non-waterproof It did not run, didn’t sting.

This mascara has very good staying power about 8 hrs after which it starts to flake a bit but that’s not a big issue for me. For me it met all my expectations of an “Ideal” mascara and I am crazy about it. I haven’t not used any other mascara since then so much so that I have stocked them for the rainy days just in case they stopped making them. 😛

PROS:

It really does pump up the volume and make the eyelashes look fuller instantly as claimed.
Does not clump at all
Dries up quickly so less chances of smearing/smudging
The intense highly pigmented color really opens up the eyes
The applicator brush is excellent, easy to hold prevents clumping and curls the lashes as you apply.
Also lengthens the lashes along with thickening the lashes.
Reasonably priced around 250 INR

CONS:

Has an unpleasant but not very strong odor (Which really is not an a big con for me)

Do I Recommend?:

Yes absolutely! Any girl who get a chance to grab a hand on this wonder product must have this. I swear by this baby 🙂

Would I Repurchase?:

Absolutely.

MAC Lustre Lipstick Sheer Plum Review

Today I am going to review MAC Lipstick in Sheer Plum Shade.

My Experience:

Packaging: It comes in their classy black boxes. The lipstick is in standard bullet shaped cases which I really like with MAC engraved on the cap with good quantity of the lipstick.

Color, Consistency & Texture: It is a sheer plum shade which I finalised after trying a lot of shades in MAC stores. One thing I just love about the MAC’s SA’s is that they are very patient and learned, always giving you the right advice and are never pushy or force you to buy anything, they are equally happy with you on swatching the products 🙂
Coming to the texture, which is really creamy and super lustrous. It does not set heavy on your lips. A single coat gives you a very sheer coverage but 2-3 coats give you an opaque and slightly build-able coverage. It has a very pleasant vanilla/toffee like scent and makes you keep re-applying it.

How it works: You can apply it directly or as a top coat after filling it with a matching lip liner. I applied it directly and it glides so smoothly on the lips. It is super-moisturous 🙂 It’s a lovely kind of baked plum colour and very sheer too as you see in the swatch.

Swatch:

What I loved about this lip shade is that it is best for t a girl who has slightly pigmented/dark lips because it imparts a very beautiful vintage color to your lips which really brightens up your face and makes your lips super lustrous and does not settle in fine lines. Though I am not very impressed with the staying power of the lipstick; it stayed on my lips for around 2-3 hours. But the best thing is that it does not bleed and fades leaving a very nice lip stain. In short I liked the lipstick and it is one of the best products of M.A.C.
